CRI Evaluator, Dr. Cheri Hoffman, Selected to Be Congressional Fellow of the American Psychological Association

On 20 August 2010 Centerstone Research Institute announced that Cheri Hoffman, PhD, had been selected by the American Psychological Association (APA) as the 2010-2011 Jacquelin Goldman Congressional Fellow. Dr. Hoffman will spend one year serving on the staff of a Member of U.S. Congress or a congressional committee, focusing on policies that affect the psychological development of children.

 

CRI Welcomes New Director of Enterprise Applications, Prasad Kodali

Prasad Kodali was recently appointed as Director of Enterprise Applications at CRI. Mr Kodali was formerly the Lead Business Analyst for Active Outdoors, Inc., and brings to CRI a wealth of experience in application development.  In his present position, he will plan and manage the development of software to be used Centerstone-wide, including the electronic health record, practice management systems and electronic data exchange between systems. He is also responsible for the delivery, operations, support and maintenance of existing and developed software.

 

CRI Promotes Grant Writer, Raleigh Dunham

CRI recently promoted Grant Writing Assistant, Raleigh Dunham, to the position of Grant Writer. Grants are the life-blood of CRI, so considerable importance is placed on hiring and retaining quality personnel. In her year-long tenure as a Grant Writing Assistant, Ms. Dunham demonstrated the requisite skills and knowledge for this challenging work and we congratulate her on a well deserved promotion.

 

CRI Co-hosts the 2010 Fall Knowledge Network Summit in San Francisco

On November 9th, 2010, leaders in behavioral health from all over the nation will gather in San Francisco to continue their work on a strategic plan aimed at significantly accelerating the adoption of innovations in behavioral healthcare.

Hosted by the Mental Health Corporations of America and Centerstone Research Institute, the summit will take place at the JW Marriott in San Francisco at 500 Post Street from 8am-5pm on Tuesday, November 9, 2010 before the beginning of the MHCA fall meeting.

CRI Welcomes Program Evaluator, Dr. Sarah Suiter

Dr. Sarah Suiter joined CRI's Evaluation Division on July 1st. Dr. Suiter earned her PhD from Vanderbilt and comes to CRI from Duke University where she recently completed a Post Doc and a book. Dr. Suiter will be taking over the Muletown Family Network Evaluation Study as Lead Evaluator after Dr. Cheri Hoffman departs in August. Dr. Suiter will also be working with Dr. Heather Wallace as a Co-Evaluator on the K-Town Youth Empowerment Evaluation Study.

 

CRI Welcomes Grant Writing Assistant, Stephanie Marks

Stephanie Marks recently joined the CRI grant writing team. Ms. Marks holds a BA in Psychology and Spanish from the University of Arizona and comes to CRI from Centerstone School-Based Services, where she worked as a Data Manager with Beth Hail and other program coordinators. In her former Centerstone job, Ms. Marks gained a deep appreciation for grant funded programs. "I saw their need for funding and the kids who benefited, and wanted to be a part of the solution," she said. In her new position, Ms. Marks will combine knowledge gained at School-Based Services with her love for writing in support of the funding goals of CRI.

 

CRI Welcomes Scientific Grant Writer, Rebecca Selove

Dr. Rebecca Selove is a licensed clinical psychologist with 25 years of experience in child, adolescent, and family services. She has served in clinical, supervisory, and administrative roles in public school, community mental health, and pediatric medical settings. Dr. Selove has a PhD in Clinical and Social Psychology from Peabody College and an MPH in Behavioral Science/Health Education from St. Louis University. She moved back to Tennessee to be with her family growing organic vegetables on Foggy Hollow Farm in Cheatham County.
