Research at CRI

Twenty years ago, staff at the Center for Behavioral Health in Indiana (now Centerstone of Indiana) began investigating how to improve client outcomes. Inspired by their example, Centerstone of Tennessee created a Research division and formed their own Institutional Review Board in 2001. In 2008, these two behavioral health research leaders combined their best data informatics and clinical research capabilities to create an independent non-profit organization—the Centerstone Research Institute (CRI).

With over 250 studies completed between the two separate organizations before the merger, CRI has a rich legacy of behavioral health research experience that inform and enrich the 60 studies it currently is involved in.

Current Research at CRI

Through the Clinical Research, Program Evaluation, Data Informatics, and Data Analytics divisions, CRI is able to conduct both independent and collaborative studies ranging in topics from the efficacy of psychotropic pharmaceuticals to the most effective clinical decision support software for case managers.

Getting Involved in Research

CRI Promotes Grant Writer, Raleigh Dunham

CRI recently promoted Grant Writing Assistant, Raleigh Dunham, to the position of Grant Writer. Grants are the life-blood of CRI, so considerable importance is placed on hiring and retaining quality personnel. In her year-long tenure as a Grant Writing Assistant, Ms. Dunham demonstrated the requisite skills and knowledge for this challenging work and we congratulate her on a well deserved promotion.
